Memorial from 1993 through 2008.

In 2009 the Paints Franchise entered into the Prospect League, a collegiate summer baseball league, and are still the current tenants at V.A. Memorial Stadium.  The stadium has hosted the Mid-American Conference baseball tournament since 2008.

Don McBride Stadium
Richmond River Rats
Location:  At the corner of Northwest 13th Street and Peacock Road in Richmond Indiana
Capacity:  1,787

History:

McBride Stadium was built in 1936 as part of the WPA and originally known as Municipal Stadium and became the host to four minor-league baseball teams over the years.  The Richmond Roses played at McBride from 1946-1948 and the Richmond Robins in 1949.  The Richmond Tigers baseball club played at McBride 1950-51 where Jim Bunning pitched for the Tigers.  Richmond went without professional baseball for about 40 years until the Richmond Roosters of the Frontier League moved in from 1995 to 2005.  During the 2005 season the Roosters announced their move to Traverse City Michigan.

Currently the Richmond River Rats, who moved in with a summer collegiate team in the Prospect League in 2009, play at McBride Stadium.

The Stadium was renovated in 1995 where new dugouts and outbuildings were installed when the Richmond Roosters moved in.  The Stadium structure consists of wooden benches built into concrete with a large overhang roof.  Ceiling fans were added to attempt to circulate the air in the grandstand.
